My memories of Brian are mostly from when we were both young children.

We enjoyed great war-time holidays at 'The Elms' with our grandmother and great aunt.  When we were naughty we were chastised, in German, by our grandmother.  Neither of us understanding what was being said, we went on our merry way.

We played duets on the Gors and Kallman grand piano in the drawing room at Muswell Hill.

One particular occasion, I shall never forget, was one Boxing Day at Muswell Hill, Brian dressed as a fairy, distributed the Christmas presents to the family.  If only there had been a photograph!

I shall miss our telephone conversations we had in later years.
